About Me
Introduce your brand
While being a full time student in California Polytechnic State University’s Art & Design Program, I often find myself yearning for more and more hands on experiences within the world of fashion. In contrast with my school life, I have been working in the clothing industry for 5 years and started my first clothing brand, Playground Limited, in 2020. I currently am working on launching my new brand Amor Nuna, and I am working everyday to ready myself for the launch later this year.
I have always been a creative mind and was always eager to get my hands on anything involving art from a young age.
In 2016, my Mum, Brother and I went on a year long journey in an Airstream trailer. This trip was meant to put me and my family out of our comfort zones, and to explore who we can really be out in the world. This trip was not only an amazing life-schooling experience but also taught me how to have better communication, keep and open mind, and become very adaptable to uncomfortable situations. After growing up in New York/Connecticut we were set on the idea of moving to California. Although that was our initial plan, while on our trip we stumbled across Boulder, Colorado and fell in love, leading to us living here for the past 8 years.
I got my first job when I first moved to Boulder, interning for a company called Anthem Branding. Although I was taking care of small tasks such as DTC sales and organizing closets, I was immediately being immersed into the world of owning a business. I was fascinated with the way that my then boss, and now mentor operated this company with such ease and composition. There were so many aspects of the business, yet everything was so organized. This experience of mine was what truly sparked my inner entrepreneurial spirit and since then I have always been experimenting with different paths that I could go down.
After spending my time in Boulder, I applied to CalPoly with the hopes to broaden my knowledge in all things art related as well as grow my brand to the fullest extent. Bringing people together and creating community has always been something that has felt important to me. That is why I got into clothing in the first place. These brands I owned allowed me to find a common-ground between so many different types of people and bring them all together, which made me more inspired than ever.
