The NUNA Tee:
When working in this industry there is an endless amount of creative possibilities that can be taken advantage of. There are so many outlets for creativity in the day to day life that we live, and with this brand I try to utilize all of those outlets.
Below I have attached some process photos of what it has looked like designing my signature T-shirt. This T-shirt, titled the “Nuna Tee”, is based off of a soccer jersey. I spent my first 5 years of life living in London, England and grew a massive love for the sport of soccer. I wanted to highlight that love I had for the sport but still make these shirts wearable by all types of people. I added a 5” inch shoulder panel ranging all throughout the top end of the shirt and complimented that with a ringer style neck.
I went through many stages of ideation and color exploration and I struggled over and over again to make the right decision. I am still in the sampling process of these shirts and now have been working with my manufactures in LA on them, for 6 months.
I am dedicated to make these shirts the highest quality I possibly can while still maintaining affordable manufacturing costs. I explored samples of Supima Cotton, French Terry, and a Polyester blend, but eventually settled on a 280 gsm Single Jersey Cotton Blend.
